** Dear Parents,
We are happy to announce that student government has coordinated a Storybook Character Parade this year! It will be held on October 31st, grades 3-5 @ 9:30 and grades K-2 and life skills @ 9:50. Parents are encouraged to dress up and watch the parade also! We ask that parents/guardians line up along the sidewalk either at the front of the building or on the sides. No need for a babysitter, feel free to allow your little ones to dress up and watch with you! The students will be parading around the school, carrying a book that has their favorite character!
Your child is encouraged to dress as any story book character they choose and they must carry that book with them during the parade. A few examples: you can be Cat in the Hat and carry the picture book, dress up like Harry Potter and carry the chapter book or dress like Spiderman and carry the comic book! Creativity and homemade costumes are encouraged!!!
Track 3- You are welcome to attend, even though you are tracked out
If you have any questions, feel free to contact your child’s teacher or Ms. Koester email@example.com !
We look forward to seeing you there :)
Sincerely, Brassfield Student Government
** We need volunteers for our field trip to Oakview Plantation. Please let our room mom, Michelle Puckett, or myself know if you're interested in volunteering for this trip.
**Mrs. Wall (our media specialist) is starting a virtual book club for staff and students grades 2-5. It's called the 40 Book Challenge. It is a personal challenge to read 40 books over 5 different genres during the 2017-2018 school year.
I will be participating and I hope many of my students will join me! If interested, please ask Mrs. Wall or me for the class code to join the Google Classroom.
